Tiger-eye:  Facilitates distancing myself from external influences.  Assists in practical perspective regarding complicated or difficult situations.  Sharpens the senses.  Facilitates embracing constant learning.

Smokey Quartz: Increases stress tolerance.  Encourages realistic, pragmatic approach to situations.  Facilitates the “leap of faith” in letting go of what is no longer needed for growth.  Imparts appreciation for body, mind, emotions and all their processes. 

Hawkeye:  Empowers the mind with broader perspective “hawk’s” vision.  Connects us with no judgment of what we see.

Hematite:  Encourages permanent development towards better conditions.  Encourages vitality and dynamism.  Focuses on basic needs and physical well being.  Eases decision-making.  Expands overall strength and sharpens instincts.  Stimulates the power of innate creative energy while enhancing revealed manifestation.

Lapis:  Encourages wisdom, self-awareness, dignity, honesty and up-rightness.  Assists one to develop the stability and power of mind for the functioning of the soul force.  Clarifies choices and emphasizes empowerment through free choice.

Petrified Wood:  Encourages a feeling of “bondedness” with the earth. Grounds and calms.  Sensitizes one to the rhythms of the earth.

Red Jasper:  Helps transform ideas into action.  Stimulates determination and common sense.  Empowers goal achievement with dynamic energy.

Daily Affirmation

Ancient wisdom speaks of the great unity of life and my connection to “THE ALL”.  As I walk the Good Red Road today I choose to be attuned to my Earth mother, known by the ancients as the Lady Gaia.  Like my ancestors before me, I AM living in harmony with my environment. 

Powerful Tiger-eye sharpens my senses so that I AM aware of the energies around me and attuned to my innate internal wisdom.  Seeking an understanding of myself and the universe I call upon the visionary energies of Hawkeye to empower me with the broader perspective of my Third Eye.

Through my Spirit Eyes I do not judge my fellow beings because I sense my connection to each one and I remember that they mirror the reality living within me.  Today my mantra is “be gentle with myself”.

Encouraging me to be vital and dynamic, my friend Hematite sharpens my instincts and expands my overall strength, stimulating the power of my innate creative energy.  With a deep breath my body is infused with the force of my Spirit and as I exhale I release all unwanted energies.

Wise Lapis Lazuli encourages me to be self- aware, honest and dignified, reminding me that I AM empowered through my use of free choice.  My ancestors walked and lived in harmony with the rhythms of our precious planet and ancient Petrified Wood increases my sensitivity to these natural flows.  With my feet on the Earth, I AM grounded and calm. 

Although I might encounter stress on my daily journey, comforting Smokey Quartz helps me release it and let go because I know I AM not alone.
